Energy Education Council/Safe Electricity We have used the Illinois Broadcasters Association NCSA program since 2001. As a non-profit promoting safety using PEP messages, we have found the program is the most affordable way to reach a broad audience with life-saving information. Our Board and members are very impressed with the airtime return on our investment in this program.

Public Education Programs (also known as NCSAs - Non-Commercial Sustaining Announcement) help government agencies and not-for-profit organizations reach their constituencies with critical information using over-the-air broadcast resources that everyone listens to - everyday. Radio and TV stations are deluged with requests for public service announcements (PSAs). As a result, many critical announcements do not get enough exposure. PEP enables your organization to get your message out, and maximizing your chances of reaching your audience with impact. PEP programs guarantee your message will get airtime.
We ask all of our member stations - virtually every broadcaster in every state - to air PEPs in return for the member services that those trade associations provide them. The motivation for broadcasters to perform is high. The proceeds from PEP programs go directly to supporting those broadcasters with servcies they receive from their trade associations. For example, when a trade association can provide their members with training of their sales staff, that, in turn, helps increase a station's revenues.
We receive a mix of drive-time and midday announcements on radio, and both primetime and daytime on TV, and we can guarantee a return of two to one. Often, it is much more.
